What a terrible thought...eh? Well on Saturday night, with the alcohol flowing in copious amounts, we were in our local pub. It was incredibly quiet... a sign of the time no doubt. But a few friends and I were chatting about what 2008 was actually about. We all seemed to agree it was a waste of a number and a year. Out of rhe 3 of us, none could recould anything good about it. It was a bit strange, 1 worked as a Manager in a large retail company , 1 was an accountant, and me a tech head.
So we did philosphy. I suggested that maybe we had been bad the previous year and it was kinda of Karma. Well maybe. Then I said, I think God is like the internet. Avaliable everywhere, cant be seen, but so many people are dedicated to it but cant explain. Then Plepe, suggested that it couldnt be coz he invented the internet about 15 years ago. I said I didnt think so, otherwise doubt he be sitting here in a local English pub. He said he told us all about it when we were bachelors...., I said he said lots of things in the 1980's that we didnt pay attention to. He claimed he had an idea, that if everyone could share files on computers, then there would a net work of computers everywhere and anyone could access it. This is how he claims he invented the net. I now know that I invented the water car. I know the water is H20, so if i fill my car with water, add some chemicals (Potassium), I can split the Oxygen from Hydrogen which I know can power new cars, like the Honda something or other... Genius. I dont need to work anymore.
