Notify Alec Rattray...

Captain Atholl Duncan was a cipher officer attached to GHQ in Singapore before being captured by the Japanese in Java in March 1942. His fiancee, Elizabeth Glassey, was a final-year medical student at St Andrews University. Alec Rattray, an old family friend who had emigrated to California in the 1920’s, received a coded radio message about Atholl after almost two years of silence. Atholl and Elizabeth’s diaries and letters are used to tell the story of what happened.
